Where:
Big V's
1567 University Ave W
St Paul
When:

Who:
The Julie Puppets
Western Fifth
Mise en Place
Set list:
On Tuesday, July 11th, Mise en Place met up with a nice host of friends to perform rock music at Big V's in St. Paul. Capital City treated everyone well (at least to the band's knowledge), and the evening turned into a grand success as the result of the confluence of fans, band, and opportunity. Mise en Place led off with a low-in-the-mix-vocal rendition of "Blackmail Sweet Blackmail" and then screamed through a set of the band's 12 biggest hits (minus fan-favourite "Las Vegas"), culminating eventually with the sinister denouement of "Greetings Earthlings." The band made some new friends, in the form of some very "happy" locals (at least we hope they aren't from Minny) who were heard to say things like, "Wow, either these guys are drunk, or I'm really good," and "Was that last one that one Kinks song with the -- hey does anyone have some spare change so I can get me another PBR?"
Mise en Place would like to extend its most sincere thanks to all who made the effort to attend the most recent Big V's event, and the band would like to invite basically anyone with a pulse to come out on Thursday, July 27th, to enjoy the sounds of Mise en Place at the legendary 400 Bar in Minneapolis. Contact the least initimidating member of Mise en Place to get the least useful information about the band's Edina E.P., the upcoming full-length record, the latest intra-band soap operas, and which Mise en Man fathered Suri Cruise, for real. Thanks for your patience.
